The result:
While my goal is to put a nice system in the car, I've found that
leaks in the rear glass do more than just get stuff wet. I originally
had a bandpass sub box in the trunk with two Rockford Fosgate S1 10" subs,
but it seems that the combination of particle board, water and darkness were
more than a colony of fire ants could resist, and they took up residence in
the ports. I managed to save the speakers and amps, but the box was too
far gone.
I'm pleased to announce that ten thousand fire ants perished in agony.
